Nice building system and more ballistic


Just for context, I am currently student in a college and the next session started arround one month ago and got back in serious training so I have less time for my game  but I try to do it at least 5 hours per week. However, I just wanted to show what progress I have done and explain what is next on my shedule :

What I have done :

  • Solo mode since multiplayer mode is kinda on halt
  • Building fournitures and structures (images are not final)
  • Balanced gun stats
  • Fixed some bugs
  • Advanced ballistic (air drag and falling in the ground when out of range)
  • Bullet penetration (bullets with enough power and a good angle can go through walls)
  • Building destruction (bullets deal damage to them when going through)
  • Perfected the item picking mechanic to automatically check if it should take the object closest to your mouse or closest to the player

Please keep in mind that all image are place holders and will be drawn again once I am absolutely sure of the visual style I want for the game.


Next, I'm working on creating a path finding system so that enemies can find a way to you even if they didn't saw your last position, for example if you fired a gun and they heard it. Once I'm done with it, I might try to implement it on some zombie and make a wave defence play test like the Call of Duty zombie survival mode.
